The Problem

Invisible where it mattered most.

DeployLabs launched on February 24, 2026 with a service, a brand, and a website. What it did not have was any search presence. Zero domain authority. Zero backlinks. Zero indexed pages. When a prospect asked Google or ChatGPT about AI consulting in Toronto, DeployLabs did not exist.

Traditional SEO timelines say 3 to 6 months before a new domain ranks competitively. AI citation timelines are even less predictable. Most businesses launch and wait. We decided to build for both channels from day one and see what the content could do on its own.

What We Built

13 articles. One content strategy. Both channels.

We published 13 interlinked articles in 17 days. Not marketing copy. Citable content: specific pricing data, named competitor comparisons, sourced statistics, and answers in the first paragraph. Every article was structured so an AI engine could extract a sentence, attribute it to DeployLabs, and move on.

Every page launched with JSON-LD schema markup. Organization schema on the homepage. Article schema with author, publisher, and datePublished on every blog post. FAQ schema on content with question-answer pairs. Service schema on pricing pages. We made the site machine-readable from the first deploy.

We verified AI crawler access in robots.txt, submitted sitemaps to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, and ensured Bing indexing was active since ChatGPT pulls heavily from Bing’s index.

What Happened

Google and AI responded at the same time.

By March 12, six pages ranked on Google’s first page. The lead article, covering AI enablement costs, sat at position 7.2 with 165 search impressions in a single week. Daily impressions grew from 3 to 94. A 30x increase in seven days.

On the same day, ChatGPT cited DeployLabs twice when a user asked about AI assessment costs for Toronto SMBs. Perplexity returned eight citations, including a direct recommendation of a specific DeployLabs service tier. Grok cited us on the same query.

The same article that ranked on Google page 1 was the one all three AI platforms cited. One piece of content, two channels, zero paid distribution.

The Takeaway

You do not need two strategies. You need one built correctly.

Most businesses treat Google SEO and AI search visibility as separate problems. Separate budgets, separate agencies, separate timelines. DeployLabs proved they are the same problem. Content built with specific data, named sources, structured schema, and answer-first formatting wins on both channels simultaneously.

The playbook is repeatable. We now deploy this methodology for clients through our AI Search Visibility service. The same five agents that built DeployLabs’ search presence build it for every engagement.
