New Service · Priced to the July 1 M365 Change

Copilot Decision Assessment

The only Copilot assessment from a firm that can also build what replaces it. Microsoft 365 prices increased July 1. Before you pay more for Copilot, find out if it is actually working for your team.

The problem

Most Microsoft partners will tell you to keep Copilot. They earn license margin when you do.

Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Premium pricing increased July 1, 2026 — new bundled Copilot plans run $23.50 to $32 per user per month (Microsoft 365 Copilot Pricing). Every Canadian SMB on M365 is now deciding whether to absorb the hike, switch plans, or evaluate whether Copilot delivers enough ROI to justify the new rate.

DeployLabs does not sell Microsoft licenses. If Copilot is the right tool for your firm's workflows, the assessment will say so. If custom AI agents would serve you better at lower cost, we can also build them.

The Copilot Decision Assessment is a structured 2-hour session that maps your team's actual AI use, scores Copilot's fit against each workflow, and delivers a written recommendation within 48 hours. No sales pitch during the session. One clear verdict at the end.

Who this fits

  • Ontario-based professional services firms, 1 to 50 staff, currently on M365 or actively evaluating Copilot
  • Law firms, accounting practices, consultancies, and boutique agencies whose AI usage varies across partners
  • Firms that took on Copilot in 2025 and have not yet measured whether the spend is producing results
  • Firms considering an alternative to Copilot and want an independent read on whether the alternative is real or hypothetical

If your IT partner is the one recommending Copilot, the assessment is the second opinion that the partner has a financial interest in not providing.

Why DeployLabs

Most Copilot assessments end with a Keep Copilot recommendation because the assessor cannot recommend anything else. DeployLabs can recommend and build custom AI agents when they are the right answer. Four reasons to commission DeployLabs.

No Microsoft license revenue.

DeployLabs does not sell Microsoft licenses. The assessment is not influenced by license margin.

Independent verdict.

The recommendation can be Keep Copilot, Reconfigure It, or Build Custom Agents. All three are real outcomes.

Build capability in-house.

If the verdict is Build, DeployLabs can deliver the custom agents. You do not need to take the findings to a separate vendor.

Ontario by design.

Toronto-based, operating under Canadian law. The assessment is calibrated to PIPEDA, Bill 149, and CPPA context for Ontario SMBs.

Objection handling

The two questions every firm asks first.

"We already have an IT partner who handles Microsoft."

Your IT partner earns revenue when you keep Copilot. This assessment gives you the second opinion that they have a financial interest in not providing.

"We are already paying for Copilot — this feels like extra spend."

A 10-person firm on M365 Copilot Business pays roughly $2,350 per month. Knowing whether that spend is working — or whether you could cut it and build something more useful — is worth $1,000.

Frequently asked

Why is this assessment different from what my IT partner or MSP offers?

Most Microsoft partners and MSPs earn license margin when you keep Copilot. DeployLabs does not sell Microsoft licenses. If Copilot is the right call for your firm, the assessment will say so. If custom AI agents would serve you better at lower cost, the assessment will recommend that instead — and DeployLabs can also build them.

We're already paying for Copilot. Is this just extra spend?

A 10-person firm on M365 Copilot Business pays roughly $2,350 per month. Knowing whether that spend is working — or whether you could cut it and build something more useful for your specific workflows — is worth $1,000 for the Small Firm tier. The assessment pays for itself the first month if it identifies a workflow where Copilot is adding noise rather than value.

What does the 2-hour session cover?

A 90-minute structured video call or GTA in-person session. DeployLabs maps your team's actual AI use, scores Copilot's fit against each workflow on a 0-10 scale, and walks you through a Build vs. Buy recommendation. No sales pitch during the session. Pre-assessment intake form (10 questions) is sent on booking.

How fast do we get the written findings?

2-3 page written findings delivered within 48 hours of the session. Small Firm and Multi-Department tiers include a 15-minute follow-up call 2 weeks after delivery.

What if the recommendation is to keep Copilot?

That is a valid outcome. Roughly a third of the assessments we expect to run will end with a Keep Copilot verdict. You still get the Copilot Fit Score per workflow, the plan right-sizing check, and a written record of which workflows are and are not earning the seat. That is the whole point of an independent read.

What if the recommendation is to build custom agents?

Implementation is a separate DeployLabs engagement starting at $5,000. The assessment never upsells from within the session itself. If the verdict is Build, you receive a written rationale and a short list of which workflows to build first. You take the findings to any vendor you like.

Is this confidential?

Every assessment is covered by a mutual NDA. Findings documents are yours to keep. DeployLabs will not reference your firm in case studies or marketing without written approval.
